I am an active member of British Council Library, No doubt It's a good library, but there are few things which I didn't liked about it, first being that the library staff is very rigid and over-fastidious regarding the use power sockets and charging points available in the library, they are very picky when it comes to the use of power sockets and charging, they simply won't let you use any charging points which are available near to you, moreover you can't even use extension power cords ( i don't know why ) if you just want to plug your laptop or mobile charger while sitting at very same reading desk, and if you feel the need to charge your device then you have to especially carry your gadgets to a separate charging section in a library just to get them charged, and in case if all the charging points in that section are already occupied, then you have to wait like an idiot just to get your devices charged, so that you can use it again and meanwhile you can't do anything, ohhh god !!! I don't understand that what's the meaning of having so many power sockets if you can't even use them.I personally think that this rigidity and obstinate behavior regarding use of power sockets and charging needs be changed, i don't believe that such a reputable library and you can't even charge you devices while sitting at the same place and that's a BIG SHAME !!Secondly the free WiFi which they are offering is fine in terms of speed but worst when it comes to network security, they haven't implemented any firewall settings on the router and you keep getting security warnings from your antivirus software and browser that "your personal information can be seen by a third party on the network". I would advise others not to share any personal information or data while using their free wifi network.

A great place to sit and study. A lovely collection of books. The membership is very reasonable around 1600 for a year. You can borrow two books and a magazine or CD at a time. Also gives access to a lot of online e books and videos.
