Description of Central Institute of Tool Design, Balanagar, Hyderabad

Central Institute of Tool Design or CITD is an institute in India providing programs in Tool Engineering and Technology. The CITD main campus is in Hyderabad, India with a branch campus in Vijayawada and an extension centre in Chennai.HistoryThe institute was established in 1968 by the government of India with the assistance of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) as an executing agency.ObjectiveThe objective of CITD is to meet the requirements of industry in the fields of tool design and manufacture and to train technical personnel in these fields. The institute has strong links with industries to impart practical knowledge by way of undertaking tooling assignments.Functions1) to provide consultancy and advisory services including assistance in the design and development of tools. 2) to recomand measures to standardise tools, and tooling elements, components of jigs, fixtures, dies etc. 3) to provide room facility.FacilitiesThe Central Institute of Tool Design has a tool room with sophisticated CNC machines like CNC EDM (Charmilles Roboform 54), CNC Wirecut EDM (AGIE Cut Classic-III & Electronics), 4- and 5-Axis High-Speed Machining Centres, Kellenberger CNC Cylindrical Grinding Machine and 3D Coordinate measuring machine with scanning and digitization facilities. The institute is equipped with EMCO table top CNC turning and milling machines with closed loop systems to impart training in CNC Programming.

Excellent Place to reduce the gap of academics and Industry.. Industrial Tools like Cadence, Synopsys etc. are there to enhance the real time experience in IC (Integrated Circuit) technology with a less price.

worst institute for AutoCAD and CREO, please dont join if you are thinking of learning autocad and creo but . i had to learn autocad and creo by myself by youtube and internet. there is one faculty for auto cad and creo - Bulleiah , he will take only 15 days class for each course and when he will take class, he will only give 15-20 minutes leacther.and after that he just say Go and practice...go and practice every day...

worst institute for AutoCAD and CREO, please dont join if you are thinking of learning autocad and creo but solidworks and catia faculty is good. i had to learn autocad and creo by myself by youtube and internet. there is one faculty for autocad and creo - Bulleiah , he will take only 15 days class for each course and when he will take class, he will give only 15-20 minutes.

freinds, one thing i have to say about this inst. is "DONT JOIN THE INST. BY ITS NAME AND POPULARITY' . here only the lab facility will be good but faculty nor management are not going to take care of students. As there would be huge people getting training they wont focus on students.
