Very impolite staff. The receptionist asked me to fill a form. I asked for a pen. She told me " You have to bring the pen sir" really?? I'm in a goddamn hospital why the hell would I bring a pen. This hospital is only good for fat asses.

My mother (74 yrs old) was admitted to Miot with Septic Shock, due to E-Coli infection. At the time of admission, her BP was 70/50 and her liver and kidney function where poor (Urea 180, Creatinine 2.7) due to UroSepsis.Dr Ravichandran's Nephrology team and Dr Nishith's Medical ICU team worked tirelessly to save her. After about 12 days in the ICU and a further 3 weeks in hospital we finally returned home.I am convinced that no other hospital in India and probably the world, could have saved her and i am eternally grateful to them. In fact the entire hospital (Doctors, nurses, administrative staff... everyone) were very helpful and supportive during a very tough time for us.

Worst Hospital... Please avoid it... They are putting money first and put patient very last.. No personal touch for patients only for currency... After damage through natural calamity (Chennai rain) i.e due to poor planning of their internal infrastructure , they met loss... To compensate that loss they started to charge on poor and innocent patient who are fighting for life... Some tricks... Keep patient in MIOT international room and charge Rs6000/ per day.. No body can challenge it even though rooms are available at lower rent. Increased all treatment cost are increased by 30-50%... Example , dialysis patient are charged at 3000 in a common room.. on emergency , individual room 4500.... Spread the word, please avoid it

It’s Surprising to hear that the cost is high !!! My father has been undergoing dialysis at MIOT for the past 2 years, the quality of treatment and the infrastructure is uncomparable with any other hospitals. During their revamping period because of floods we had no options rather than to visit a hospital in vadapalani for my father’s dialysis (@ Rs.2200) where the treatment and hospital quality was so pathetic and absolutely chaotic. There is always a difference between eating in a roadside shop and in a quality restaurant. For the people who think about the extra money well it is always paid back to you in terms of clean infrastructure, expertise staff and latest technology equipments. At 78 years, he being a diabetic with meagre possibility for kidney transplant, it is this quality dialysis at MIOT he still survives. The max I can repay my father.
