This review is mainly for the parents to read. Students who left this disastrous institution might be in denial but nothing really good came out of those two years we spent there. I am talking for and about ambitious and meritorious students who wanted to be somebody in life. Of course there are students who did not go there with very high dreams and they seem to be doing quite well. Here are the reasons why you should not choose this institution for your child: 1. ZERO physical activity in the girl's campus. Please don't get blinded by the videos and pictures they show. Girls are treated as pigs in pig farms. No outdoor activity, no way to communicate and learn from the outside world. 2. Wardens are very disrespectful and treat students in a very degrading way which some of us, are not used to. 3. GRADES ARE EVERYTHING. There might be hundreds of reasons for a student to not perform well. But this institution sidelines everything and constantly demarcates students based on their grades. 4. TEACHERS KEEP CHANGING. every month we would experience 2-3 teachers for the same subject. 5. STRICT STUDY HOURS THAT ALLOWS ONLY ONE SUBJECT TO BE STUDIED AT ONE TIME. If somebody doesn't want to study Chemistry in teh afternoon, she/he has no choice. One just has to study it. There were several times I wanted to practice Mathematics and my notebooks were thrown out just because I wanted to practice more. 6. YOUR CHILD WILL BE SOCIALLY RESTRCTED. There is no scope for improvement in your personality, since the pupil can never interact with anybody smart and successful. 7. NILL LABORATORY WORK 8. SEXIST teachers who would constantly demoralize the student if she is a girl. 9. Instead of trying to understand the students, the authorities treat them like dogs and that is why you might have your child coming home to you and crying and shouting about it or she/he would turn into an anti-social person. 10. I have seen prisons in Norway (I am a researcher here) which have better facilities and behavior towards inmates than this institution's attitude towards your child. 11. DON'T listen to their promises about IIT-JEE and other things. Belive in your child and nurture your child at your home. Be a parent! Don't send your child away. 12. Constant judgement and pressure on your child can lead her/him to lead a very stressful and meaningless life ahead. The above points may not stand true for every child because there were many kinds of students. Some smart, some average and some who had no clue with life. But in my experience, only very very very few actually can benefit from the programme. Most students (average or below average ones) enjoy their freedom from a strict family regime, thats all. Your child might be forced to live with very difficult kinds of people who can only harm your child.
