The Immaculate Centre for Spoken English was dedicated in the year 2005 by a stalwart Anglo Indian, Debbie Westcott for those who are undernourished in the language of English. This is the only institution which provides training in English. The students learn English in English and not through the bilingual method. The institution has drawn expert knowledge from the foundress who was involved in the planning with her remarkable and pioneering work in the field of teaching. She has taught English to all age groups right from the age of four to seventy years old. The salient features of this institution are the interactive style of teaching and emphasis on all the four skills i.e Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. The focus of the courses offered here is communication. You learn grammar and you also learn how to do things in English. For e.g. you ask for information, offer to do something, make a suggestion, etc. These little things we teach you here help learners feel more confident in English.
