The district administration on Monday asked all private schools in town not to take re-admission fees from students and follow the guidelines of the Right to Education (RTE) Act in admitting children of weaker sections at the entry level. The admission cell, which was opened recently by the administration to monitor effective implementation of the RTE Act in schools, has received 65 applications of needy children seeking admission in different schools. The authorities have asked the private schools to provide admission to them. Deputy commissioner Aarva Rajkamal on Monday instructed officials of the district education department and principals of more than 50 schools related to the RTE Act in a meeting held at education office in Chas. "The admission cell will strictly monitor schools to see whether 25% reservation is being provided under the RTE Act in admission of poor children or not," he said. Deputy superintendent of education Purendra Vikram Sahi said the principals of the schools were asked to comply with the RTE norms. "It is compulsory for every private unaided school to admit at least 25% children belonging to poor class at the entry level." It was also decided in the meeting that schools should not compel guardians to buy books from particular bookshops and provide lists of the names of books. The safety of children was also the prime concern in the meeting in which schools have been directed to conduct awareness on fire safety etc among children.

I love this place and miss it the most. Friendly environment with best faculty and latest technology available to help students academically alongwith encouraging and providing platform for participation in extra curricular activities.
