I joined this school only a year ago,but seem to like it.....
good infrastructure,good teaching,big school ground.......
It gives importance to studies and equal importance to sports...
I entered this school when I was in 6th and left in 9th.If you are shifting from Chennai to Adyar, you get very less choices when it comes to CBSE schools - St. Patrick's, St. John's, Hindu, Sankara, Bharath, and CV. Very difficult to get admission in Sankara, and CV is very expensive. Hindu became my unanimous choice when I shifted from Delhi. The teachers are really good. Some of them look a bit strict, but otherwise they actually aren't. I was the son of a Hindu school teacher, so they were a bit partial to me. But, they would regret having scolded anybody in the staff room. And, yes, partiality exists. If you are some sort of a celebrity, people obviously pamper you. They say Unit Tests, but don't let that fool you. They're still following the flawed CCE pattern. The library is utter crap. A the good books are locked away and we are not allowed to touch them. I was allowed sometimes, yeah one of my perks. The school has one of the biggest grounds in All of Chennai with basketball, volleyball and badminton courts. Sports are encouraged, and the school has won lots of times at the CBSE clusters. The annual day drama is always in Tamil. My letters regarding this issue were ignored. Thats a big minus point for people who don't speak Tamil. The MUN culture was just started in the school. This was why one of the reasons I left the school, that there was not an MUN club, but they have started it now. I'm now a recognised MUNner in my new school - Vidya Mandir, a school where it is difficult to crack the entrance exams. And if you do crack it, it is totally worth it.One of the biggest interschool culturals is organised and held here by the school.Bathrooms are the worst. The school is okay. One of the best in terms of education but one of the worst in infrastructure. The fee here is the lowest in All of Chennai. The school is multi cultural. You'll find all types of people here.Any which way, you'll make really good memories and friends here.
The principal's approach is very poor.....she is very rude....they give seats fr kids even if they get 0 in entrance( jus under recommendation) n none of the RTE rules r followed....all their entrance exam is just an eye wash....
